Excited to be heading back to France in a few weeks, I just looked at my blog posts and… I was shocked. I had no idea it had been so long since my last post! But it has most certainly been an extraordinarily busy year and a half!!! (Not a good excuse, but…)
A year ago last Fall, we found our new house in Gimios, a little hamlet just a 10 minute walk from the town of Saint-Jean-de-Minervois. Since then, we signed papers on our new home, sold the old one, moved into the new home and have spent two full vacations there, decorating and having a blast! Here are some quick shots of our fabulous, new little gem. We couldn’t feel more chez nous, or be more in love.

We’ll be back for the entire Spring, and have more big decorating plans. Stay tuned!
What an incredible place!! I can’t wait for the day we can see you and your amazing home in person. Our boat is finally in France, near Paris. We may need to go back north for boat maintenance though.
Thanks for your lovely blog!

Thank you so much, Mary Moore! As it turns out, we are still in the US, and not sure when we’ll be able to get to France, with this worldwide pandemic, flights being cancelled, etc. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get there this Summer! In the meantime, I’m enjoying looking at the photos!

What a beautiful place…it reminds me of the house I grew up in near Cavaillon. We had light green shutters and a beautiful view of the Luberon. I hope you were able to return to France. We weren’t! Hopefully soon when it is safe to travel again.

Bonjour Lise –
We love Cavaillon and all the surrounding area. How lucky you were to grow up there. We get to Provence occasionally, and always enjoy it. On our last visit, we saw the Carrières de Lumières Van Gogh show – fabulous! And I always pay a visit to Le Petit Paradou village of santons, which I adore.
We are hoping to get back to the Hérault this Spring or Summer, but certainly next Fall at the latest (after getting Covid vaccines)… And then we may never want to come home! I hope you can get back soon, as well.
Thanks for contacting me, Kate
